Description
This is a 12 setting set of the Alvin Sterling Siver Flatware. I believe this to be the best design Alvin made and their last. These were made in 1966 before the Alvin Company was absorbed into the Gorham Company. There are 12 large spoons, 12 small spoons, 12 large foks, 12 small forks, 12 knives and included are 3 optional pieces; Large serving spoon, Butter knife and Gravy Ladle. These are in mint condition. The only way to buy better is to buy straight from Alvin but,,,they no longer exist. When bought, each piece came in an individual plastic bag. Well, included is every plastic bag this 12 place setting came with. Plus, included is a Silverware chest to keep this beautiful Alvin Sterling Silver dinner set. The chest also has a drawer to accommodate extra Silverware. The photo shows the bags sitting in the Silverware chest. The chest also has a brass plague for engraving. I know the pictures are not that good. I am NOT a photographer and these are the best photos taken out of 50+ I took. All the Sterling Silverware is vacuum packed in plastic which makes them very difficult to photograph. I am NOT going to open them for photos. If you do not know what "mint" means, then do not bid. You would not be disappointed in this set. Just to let you know, my Mother bought these and the Silverware chest in 1966 from Alvin. Payment with Postal Money Order.
