It is marked at the back "A.R.E. - ARGENT DOUBLE" then in a rectangle C.C. with a head of a boar in between.This gorgeous set is French and from the turn of the Century  - the research on every detail - the body  all twisted  standing on four fabulous feet which comes out from medallions and leaves - the  extremely elegant  spout - the handle with protection for the heat make each piece a great work of Art. Not to mention the finial of each cover ! Please look at the pictures to see all the details of this outstanding set made  by the Workmaster Simon Slisonski active in Paris 176 rue Saint Martin between 1888 and 1903.The work is extremely well done.The proportions and the shape are a great beauty  either way you look at the pieces. As said the four pieces are standing on elegant claw feet  Great set indeed and really high quality. Difficult to find a similar set in such wonderful condition.Similar set would cost at least $12 000 but here my reserve is much lower.As Hallmarks we have 3 times on each piece the Minerva N°1 (except for the creamer once only)- on the rim - on the cover and on the finial - best titre for french sterling silver - high grade (950/1000e) and  two times on each piece the workmaster stamp in a diamond shape : "S.S."  with a scale in between. Excellent condition for all the pieces. No scratches - no dings.
