Description
FabergeImperial CourtSterling SilverLot of 5 Pieces5 Desert or Soup spoons - 7 1/8 inches in length - retails for $600 eachTotal retail for this lot is $3,000!!!!The sterling silver flatware created by Peter Carl Fabergé was inspired by the styles and designs of eighteen-century and early nineteenth-century France, from rococo to Empire. The patterns are elegant and luxurious, and it can be said that there is something about the Fabergé designs that are distinguishably Russian in feeling. When you touch and hold a piece of Fabergé sterling, you are in contact with something very special, coming down to you, not only from the era of the Czars, but of an ancestry far more ancient: for it is typical of all the imperial courts there have ever been. In 1997, the original stamping dies, that were used to manufacture Fabergé sterling silver flatware at the turn-of-the-century, were mysteriously found in a deserted warehouse in what in now the country of Estonia. The next year, the original dies were brought to Sweden where they have been reconditioned and prepared for production. Fabergé sterling silver flatware is produced in a limited number of pieces each year using the original dies that were first used by Peter Carl Fabergé approximately one hundred years ago. These Fabergé sterling silver flatware patterns are exactly the same as the flatware Carl Fabergé produced for Czar Nicholas II and Czarina Alexandra Fedorovna. For that reason, one can say that this flatware is original Fabergé, not an adaptation or a reproduction. Fabergé sterling silver flatware represents the world's highest standards of quality and design. Owning Fabergé sterling silver flatware represents a truly unique and historic opportunity. This particular pattern was made for the Greal Palace at Peterhof. This is a wonderful pattern with classic design that will be enjoyed for generations to come. This is a new pattern and is hard to find at a discount. It has great weight to it. Don't miss out on this great deal. These pieces are gently used. There is a bit of tarnish on the back of a couple of pieces that could be professionally polished. It comes from a smoke free home. I prefer PayPal.
