The whole set is solid sterling silver, except for the tray, which is English and silver plated. The sterling pieces are all of good weight. We believe this set is in the popular William & Mary pattern, which was patented in 1921. The rim of each piece has a decorative scroll border and each piece is raised on a pedestal base. The finials and heat insulators , the large handle on the kettle on stand and small knobs on the finials are all made of genuine elephant ivory. Each piece has a large, shaded monogram of the letter H on the front. The inside of the creamer and waste bowl have a fine gold finish The underside of each piece is marked with the Lunt Treasure hallmark used between 1921-54 and sterling. This set includes: 1 Kettle on Stand: 8 inches from back to spout and 13 3/4 inches tall. 1 Coffeepot: 9 7/8 inches from handle to spout and 9 1/8 inches tall. 1 Teapot: 9 1/2 inches from handle to spout and 8 3/8 inches tall. 1 Creamer: 4 3/4 inches from handle to spout and 5 1/2 inches tall. 1 Covered Sugar Bowl: 5 3/4 inches from handle to handle and 5 3/4 inches tall. 1 Waste Bowl: 3 1/8 inches in diameter at the mouth and 3 1/4 inches tall. 1 Tray: 30 1/2 by 20 inches. The overall condition of this set is incredible. There are a couple of hairlines to the large ivory handle on the kettle, but the handle is still solid. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs. The set is very clean on the interior as well. Everything is usable. The burner for the kettle on stand is in excellent working condition. Any of the white or black spots or white or black lines that you see in the photographs are a result of reflections from our lights or the camera lens.
