During the first quarter of 20th century the Persian, Turkish, Caucasian and Bokhara rugs were highly demanded in the Western European countries and US, therefore, there were some time that Persian and other weaver in the other countries could not keep up with the orders, thus some of the merchant decided to produce some of those pattern in Europe in countries like Austria, Switzerland and Germany, Spain, England and France already had a rug weaving history. Every country in Europe started to use different technique in rug weaving, for example Germany used the hooked weaving and this rug is one of German Hooked production, we also have to confess that European did better job in color combination than Persian and other weavers in countries like Turkey and etc. We have offered German Tetex before and currently we have two at our e bay store besides this one, but the one that we are offering here, is the most beautiful Tetex that we have ever offered so far, the pattern of this rug was taken from a Persian Sultanabad, as you probably know Sultanabad is one the most expensive antique Persian rug, specaily with this colr combination, if this was a Persian it could go up to $30,000.00, because you barely find an antique rug with this kind of pattern and color combination. You also could find this design in some of the William Morris rugs from England, because Sultanabad and Zigler patterns were taken from William Morrin patterns in late 19th century, because they were ordered by English Merchants such as Zigler who had an office in Sultanabad back in 1880. This rug is in mint condition without having any odor, stains, holes and tears. We are offering this beauty at the minimum starting bid of $1,499.00, which is our reserve price. This is a 100% hand made rug and our minimum starting bid is an absolute give away price. This rug measures 6'-8"x9'-9" to be exact. good luck.*As a qualified power seller. You can feel assured that your transaction will go smoothly and that you are dealing with one who has consistently met the requirements established by ebay Top Shipping Shipping Information: We ship worldwide and we offer shipping and insurance by U.P.S. ground. We combine shipping to save you money!   Top Policy   * 72 hour money back guarantee! * Nearly 100% positive customer feedback! * We leave prompt feedback for customers!
