We believe this piece to most likely be Italian. The top is deeply engraved with crisp, classical flower decorations. The hinged pieces pivot freely and the buckle is very usable. All parts of the buckle are thick and strong. The back bears some unknown hallmarks. Both the buckle itself and one of the hinged parts are hallmarks, both with the same three hallmarks. This piece is in excellent condition and the engravings are very crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs. The buckle measures 1 7/8 by 3 1/8 inches and weighs 45 grams. This piece is solid silver. It is not silver plated.
