Antique Capodimonte Porcelain Musicians Figurine Statue Start Price USD 1,500.00 Current Price USD 1,500.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, November 27, 2008 End Time Thursday, December 04, 2008 Location Rancho Mirage, California See more about 'Antique Capodimonte Porcelain Musicians Figurine Statue' Description My client has informed me that she will be retrieving this item on 12/10, so this is your LAST CHANCE to own this item before it is removed for good from my stock, so BUY IT NOW! Up for sale is an Original Antique Capodimonte Porcelain Musicians Figurine statue.  This is an old piece of art from the Royal Factory at Naples.  This is a group of 3 Musicians, a woman at the baby grand piano, a standing man playing the flute and a seated man playing the bass.  The mark is the Crown and Neopolitan N.    This is the real deal!  The porcelain lace work on the dress and shirt ruffles is exquisite.  It is netted and very delicate.  The painting is very detailed.  The white base, piano, flute, bass, and mens coats are trimmed in gold.  There is a pretty medallion at the front of the base.  This figurine measures about 8" x 4" and the standing man is 5 1/2" tall.  There is evidence of a repair to the base.  It has a single crack across the entire base about 1/4 in on the bass player side (right side in base shot).  The piece has been expertly repaired as this crack is hardly noticeable and there are no chips.  The last two fingers on the left hand of the bass player are chipped off (see photo, probably happened when the crack occurred).  Amazingly, all other fingers are stilll intact and perfect.  The end of the bass bow is white.  I cannot determine whether it is also chipped or whether that is the design of the bow.  I thinks it is the design, but I want to point it out.  It does not feel like a chipped area, but very smooth like the rest of the porcelain.
