Antique Cupid & Psyche Art Nouveau Silverplated Vases (Click to Enlarge) Included here are two extraordinary silverplated vases dating from the nineteenth century, depicting Cupid and Psyche, the lovers from Roman mythology. Each measures 19.3" and 10" in diameter (49 by 25 cm) and each weighs an estimated 6-8 lbs. (2.7-3.6 kg). We have found no hallmarks, but cannot rule out the possibility they exist. One possible maker is WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), whose marks are extremely small and often difficult to spot. These items reside with our client on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York and may be seen by appointment. Please page down to see additional images.
