Look at this incredible highly ornate Sterling Silver spoon. it is Dutch in origin, and has Pastoral scene in great detail Made of solid Sterling Silver sometime in the mid/late 1800's Numerously marked and signed by the Dutch silversmith as pictured The top part is a coat-of-arms over the head of an Apostle, the bottom (bowl) is a typical Dutch scene with a windmill, all meticulously doneThere is a full set of English hallmarks @ the bowl's edge, which stand for the Chester Assay office from 1901 and were used on imported silver. The SBL mark stands for Samuel Boyce Landeck. The spoon itself is older and has Dutch hallmarks all over its body - 3 on the bowl and 1 behind the motto on the Coat-of-Arms. In practice, it is an Apostle spoon in the shape of early 18th C. Rat-Tail Bowl spoons. The depicted version of Coat-of-Arms was used in Netherlands from 1815 - 1907VERY INTERESTING AND UNUSUAL SPOON INDEED!!!
