The cabinet is made of oak, narrow and has beautiful art nouveau carvings.  On the section of the cabinet which holds the clock's 8-day mechanism, there is a glass insert on each side and on the front door.  On the long section of the cabinet there is a small round piece of glass which allows you to see the pendulum.  Unusual shape. The porcelain face has a few small dings which have been covered with a small dab of white enamel paint.  The winding holes do not have brass rings.  The brass fronton (face surround) is nicely embossed with the image of Louis the 14th, The Sun King.  The brass is in good condition.  The "crown" mechanism indicates this is an early clock.  Has its original  long brass pendulum which has a few small indention.  Has its original winding key and 2 cast iron weights.  The clock is not in running condition.  Has all of its working parts, just needs is to be cleaned.  When the clock is working, the clock with strike with a bell the half hour and hour, then will repeat the hour two minutes later.    We appreciate your business!
