Antique French Sterling Silver 42 Pieces Forks & Spoons: LapparraCollectibles:Silver, Sterling Elegant pure pattern comprised of cross ribbon edges with acanthus accents along the border, these huge forks and spoons exemplify understated classic styling. There are 22 forks and 20 spoons, so a place setting for 20 with some extra forks! Made by Henri and Gabriel Lapparra of the finest French sterling; each piece marked with the Minerve 1st titre, the French guarantee for silver parts 950/1000! A higher sterling standard than the US and the UK. Condition is superb; a few of the forks tines very slightly askew, and of course, normal signs of use. Nothing to disappoint! These are the large dinner size pieces, all over 8" long and weighing between 80 & 85 grams a piece! That is over 3000 grams of silver. There is a script monogram on the backs, which appears to be 'AC'; but I am never very good at deciphering these monograms. The most striking feature of this set is it's purity.
