You are bidding for...       A beautiful and unique Karaja Runner. This 100% knotted wool Persian is in excellent condition and dates to the mid-20th century. What makes this rug distinctive is the cream background and the numerous motifs.It has a nice, thick pile and can be put in a heavily trafficked area. It measures approximately 11' 2" x 3' 4"The Karaja design, bold medallion shapes with hooks, on a ground covered with a myriad of geometric motifs - is unmistakable. There are also other features, which make the Karaja easy to recognize: it is one of the few sources of single-wefted goods, with white cotton warps and blue-grey cotton wefts.The colors are easily remembered, once seen - This incredibly drawn and clearly defined rug contains at least 12 different colors and can enhance any decor.
