The body of the tray is made of silver. It is signed by the artist in a mother of pearl cartouche on the back. The ivory has carved jade, colored mother of pearl, tortoiseshell, resin and wood inlays and it is beautifully done depicting a water garden or a pond It is in real good condition, the ivory has warped a little with time and in some places you can see the joints of the ivory slabs as it is just too big to be one single ivory piece.
