John E Terry sterling silver English tea set - ca 1835 Circa 1835 large Sterling Silver tea set A truly rare opportunity to own an historical sterling set from a prominent English maker We are very pleased to offer this beautiful .925 sterling silver tea set by John Edward Terry. The set consists of a tea pot, coffee pot, open sugar and creamer. Each piece is ornately decorated with floral and stylized designs. The teapot and coffee pot have hinged lids with a flower, leaves and stems decorating the top. The handles are insulated and the spouts are very ormate. Each piece has four decorative feet. The inside of each piece is in great condition. The bottoms are all hallmarked with a lion, leopard, date mark the initals I E T for the maker John Edward Terry. The set was produced in London, England in 1835. The tall coffeepot is 10" tall, 10' from handle tip to spout tip, and 6" wide. 29.2 troy oz. Th teapot is 7" tall and 11 1/2" from handle tip to spout tip, and 7" wide. 29.2 troy oz. The creamer is 4 1/2' high, 7" from handle tip to spout tip, and 4 3/4" wide. 9.2 troy oz. The sugar is 4 1/2" high, 9 1/4" from handle tip to handle tip, and 6" wide. 14.6 troy oz. The total set weight is 82.2 troy oz. Each piece is in great condition with no dents or nicks. All are very clean. I have never seen a set this fabulous in detail, design, and condition. The set is monogrammed with JBC. Shipping: Shipping insurance is mandatory on all items.
