For sale is what looks like most probably a Shinto or maybe late Koto periode O-Suriage Wakizashi. Blade has no Kizu (flaws) but there is some pitting (see pictures). Blade has Suguha Hamon and a healthy Boshi. I would like to think that this sword could be Hizen school. Its cutting edge measures 47.5 cm and it is 3 cm wide. It should polish up nicely. The sword is mounted in pretty nice solid silver Handachi mounts. They consist of ensuite made Fuchi / Kashira, Kojiri and Kuriagata. Furthermore there is a nice Shoami iron Tsuba with Gold and Silver Zogan matching the remaining Kodugo's theme. Habaki is a two piece one, Silver / Shakudo. Saya has been fully restored.
