I am sorry for having to part with these fine swords and fittings but my loss is your gain! Please also check out my other auctions for more swords and fittings! I will combine shipping on all items. I am selling a Koto Tanto, most probably Nambokucho Periode from around 1400. It is signed Morimitsu. The sword looks to be Soshu school. The blade has seen many polishes as the centuries went by, resulting in some loose Hada and thin temper. I can however not see any Fukure, Hagire or big Ware. Hamon looks like Suguha with wild Hada. Please judge from pictures. The Tanto is mounted in an antqiue Edo periode Aikuchi Koshirae with Horn Fuchi / Kashira and very nice Shakudo Flower Menuki with Gold Zogan. (Koiguchi, Kurigata and Pin are also made of Horn). The Saya remains in good condition and still has a worn Sageo attached to it. Habaki is made of copper with remains of silver platting.
